The human body is so clever! When Tanya looks at the big rocks -weight gain, health, stress, sleep, hormones, energy etc., and begins to piece clients lifestyles together, everything is interlinked. Once one thing is slightly out of balance it can send the next thing out of balance, these are manifested with health niggles. They are simply symptoms of something much deeper going on. Pilates is not a quick fix, yes it will help kick start your energy, vitality and you are going to feel better, but it will take time to get there so be patient and consistent with the Pilates exercises and health advice Tanya gives.
Download Pilates Form Contact Tanya ›Ladies over 40 want to lose so body fat so they try to do Circuits, HiiT or any type of intense exercise and sometimes they find they gain weight, especially around the mid-section because the body is already stressed, the cortisol levels are higher than normal. They are eating a moderately healthy diet but then having wine to ‘chill’ or ‘numb’ out; cortisol again is released so we constantly have an intense stream of cortisol pumping through the body which is a fat storing hormone.
If you only ate a lettuce leaf and ran a marathon every day that would cause more stress to the body, the body would just hold onto fat and you will experience an increased amount of inflammation.
You don’t need to have pain to have inflammation, you can have inflammation in the brain, something as simple as ‘brian fog’ can be caused by these certain types of food (gluten, wheat, sugar) and also other drivers like stress and poor sleep. Reducing the amount of alcohol, processed foods you take in and increasing the amount of sensible exercise you take will help you to function better. When these things are combined, they lead to a better nights sleep. It has been proven that sleep deprivation can have an adverse effect on all parts of our life, from family, work and friendships. The downward spiral is very hard to break, and it is only through change that we can break this. Tanya will walk the steps with you on your journey to change.
