LOSE WEIGHT FAST
Crash diets are not good for your body. They can have a negative effect on your mind and general wellbeing. Many of the fad diets include removing one of the main food groups from your diet. Cutting out one of the main food groups is never going to be sustainable. Let’s face it, by day 3 of a chicken and spinach diet, even the strongest of will powers will be yearning for some carbs!
Here are a few simple steps to follow for a healthier and more realistic way for you to lose those extra pounds.
This means if you have toast for breakfast, choose another wholegrain carb like brown rice or quinoa for lunch and dinner. As this not only prevents you over indulging, it also encourages you to add a wider range of foods to your diet and therefore a wider range of nutrients too.
It’s suggested that if you get 8.5 hours of sleep per night you could lose weight much quicker. Sleep affects your weight much more than people think. Therefore, letting your body rest is just as important as eating properly. One study suggests two weeks is all it takes for your sleep to affect your weight. In the study, those who got the most sleep lost twice as much fat as the short sleepers did.
Everyone knows that water is important for a healthy digestion and keeping your metabolism in good shape. Drinking water can also suppress hunger. If you suffer from bloating water can help prevent it. If your cells are dehydrated, they will cling to any fluid that’s in your system, adding to over bloating or swelling. And don’t forget to sip your water consistently throughout the day. This prevents overloading your system all at once.
I always recommend that my clients drink half of their body weight in ounces of water. For example if you weigh 10 stone that is 140lb therefore you need to drink 140 divided by 2 = 70 ounces of water. 70 ounces is equivalent to 2 litres of water. This amount of water is for normal bodily function only! If you’re outside on a hot day, or doing something that makes you sweat a lot, you’ll need to drink more fluids to stay hydrated. The same applies if you have an illness that causes you to vomit, have diarrhoea, or if you have a temperature.
Another way to remove excess water weight and bloating, is to get your sodium and potassium levels right. Processed foods tend to be high in sodium, so try to eat more fresh foods and stop taking table salt with your meals. To make sure your potassium levels are right, try to eat potassium rich foods like salmon, halibut, and spinach.
Finally, to lose weight quickly high-intensity interval training should be your exercise of choice. Minute-per-minute, it burns, more calories than other workouts like steady cardio, while also increasing the calories you burn. Over the long term, interval training builds muscle, which is critical for keeping the weight off. Try exercises like burpees, squats, lunges, or pushups, then rest for a few seconds and then repeat.
